On Saturday evening, Urban Prep alumnus Arshell Dennis III was shot and killed in front of his home on Chicago’s Southwest side. Mr. Dennis graduated from Urban Prep’s Bronzeville Campus where he was an award-winning poet/spoken word artist in 2014. Mr. Dennis was not the intended target of the shooting and was scheduled to return to St. John’s University when his life was tragically cut short.
The memorial services for Mr. Dennis will take place at the Monument of Faith Church located at 2750 W. Columbus Ave, Chicago, IL 60652.

Funeral: Thursday, August 25th from 11am-12pm
