- Dr. Theartris Childress played integral roles in the inception and growth of Urban Prep Academies, serving as a founding teacher and department chair at the institution's inaugural campus. Subsequently, he assumed the position of founding principal at
Urban Prep - East Garfield Park, contributing significantly to the establishment and success of UP’s 2nd campus site.
