On Monday, September 12, three-time NBA Champion and newest Chicago Bull, Dwyane Wade, surprised 200 of our seniors as the guest for Urban Prep’s Urban Legends Speaker Series. During the chat, Wade talked about overcoming obstacles & hardships personally and professionally. He also motivated the students to rise above the struggles and challenges many of them face growing up in a city plagued with growing violence. The Urban Legends Speaker Series is part of our 10AndChange campaign commemorating Urban Prep’s 10th anniversary.
