If charter school founder Tim King has spent his adulthood trying to help poor young black boys, it’s partly because he wasn’t one himself. Mr. King, 44, grew up in the affluent South Side neighborhood of Pill Hill. His father owned a construction company; his mother started as a Chicago Public Schools teacher and retired
