PLEASE GET UP! AND HELP URBAN PREP REPLICATE…

This year, Urban Prep Academies decided to pursue replication and apply to the Chicago Public Schools to open two new campuses in 2009.  If approved, these schools will be located on Chicago’s West side in the East Garfield Park and Southeast side in South Shore.  

Our Design Team (composed of educators, community leaders/residents, real estate experts, lawyers, and financiers), Board of Directors and Staff recognize that opening additional schools will be challenging, but we are willing to accept this challenge because firmly believe that the end result will be greater educational opportunities in Chicago for our children.  

And we also believe that we aren’t doing this alone which is why we hope that you will help us in four ways:  1) Sign the electronic Petition to Replicate Urban Prep; 2) Write a Letter of Support for Urban Prep; 3) Take our online survey (parents of boys/young men 18 years and younger); and 4) Forward this link/page to friends, family, colleagues and others who you believe are interested in supporting our replication efforts.
